“Building On A Firm Foundation”
I Corinthians 3:10-11
"According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."
Welcome back to Baltimore!
The 93rd Annual Session of the National Baptist Deacons’ Convention of America, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries
It is with great joy and Christian fellowship that the Baptist Deacons Conference of Baltimore and Vicinity extends a warm and heartfelt welcome to the National Baptist Deacons’ Convention of America, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries for the 93rd Annual Session in the historic city of Baltimore, Maryland.
We are honored and humbled to serve as your Host Association and look forward to welcoming Deacons, Deaconesses, Pastors, families, friends, and delegates from across the nation. Baltimore has a rich history of faith, service, culture, and community, and we are excited to share the spirit of our city with our National Convention Family.
As we gather for a week of Christian education, fellowship, worship, and spiritual renewal, it is our prayer that this Annual Session will strengthen our commitment to the work God has entrusted to our hands. May our time together encourage us to continue serving our Churches faithfully, supporting our Pastors, strengthening our families, reaching our communities, and advancing the cause of Christ.
We are delighted to welcome you to our Host Hotel, the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Inner Harbor, located in the heart of Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor. Its central location provides convenient access to many of the attractions, restaurants, historic sites, and cultural treasures that make Baltimore a unique and exciting destination.
While you are here, we encourage you to experience some of the rich African American history and culture of our city. Visit the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, which celebrates the contributions and experiences of African Americans throughout Maryland’s history. We also invite you to visit the National Great Blacks In Wax Museum, a Baltimore institution dedicated to preserving and presenting African American history through powerful and thought-provoking exhibits.
You may also enjoy exploring Baltimore’s historic Inner Harbor, the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, and the many shops, restaurants, and attractions located throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area. And, of course, no visit to Maryland would be complete without experiencing some of the seafood and famous Maryland crab dishes for which our region is known.
More than anything, we want you to experience the warmth and hospitality of the Baptist Deacons Conference of Baltimore and Vicinity. We are preparing to receive you with open arms and Christian love, and we pray that when you leave Baltimore, you will take with you wonderful memories, renewed friendships, spiritual encouragement, and a strengthened determination to continue serving the Lord.
On behalf of the Officers, members, Churches, Deacons, and Deaconesses of the Baptist Deacons Conference of Baltimore and Vicinity, we say:
Welcome to Baltimore! Welcome to the 93rd Annual Session!
We look forward to worshiping, learning, fellowshipping, and serving together as one Convention Family.
May God bless the National Baptist Deacons’ Convention of America, Inc. and Its Auxiliaries, and may He bless each of you as you journey to Charm City — Baltimore, Maryland!
